Change is good.

Newly divorced, the client bought this home in Pimlico to start fresh - for herself and her two children.

Like many houses in the area, it was old and in desperate need of an upgrade. The space was chopped up, letting in very little light, and created an awkward flow. She requested for a full interior design, but always with an understanding that it was unlikely the full plan will be implemented due to budget constraints. She wanted to be able to visualise the space and have a plan ready should her finances make it possible to go ahead with the additional work.

The concept for the home was presented in a simple 3D mock-up. Eventually, except for furnishings and the entry hall for coats and shoes, all ideas were implemented. A Jack-and-Jill bathroom was added to the space and the ground floor was opened up to create an open concept, allowing light from the garden terrace to stream in. This increased the value of her property when reassessed by agents.

Her one regret? Not implementing the entry space to separate the living room from the coats and shoes!
